POLLY ANN BENNETT

Polly Ann Bennett, 92, a former longtime resident of Bloomingburg, Ohio died Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 9:38 p.m. at St. Catherine’s Manor Washington Court House where she had been residing since January 21, 2021.

Polly was born August 21, 1932, in Bloomingburg, OH to Glenn (Whiz) and Josephine Adelene Wrobbel Bennett.  She was a 1951 graduate of Bloomingburg High School and lived most of her life in Fayette Co.

Before her retirement, she was a waitress at Garner’s Truck Stop.

She attended the Bloomingburg United Methodist Church and was an avid Miami Trace Panthers fan.

She was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Robert Tennenbaum in 1995; her mother in 1990; her father in 1974, and a twin sister, Joanne Bennett in 1933.

She is survived by several cousins, including Cora Yoder of London, Emmett and Marsha Sylvester of Illinois, Mary and Tony Allen of Hilliard, Debbie and Jim Mattox of Columbus and Donna and Steve Hunt of Dublin.

The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Catherine’s Manor for the loving care they provided to Polly.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation took place.  Burial of the cremains will be at a later date in the Bloomingburg Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
