William Michael McKenzie, 79, of Washington Court House Ohio, died Sunday, August 23, 2026, at 6:04 a.m. at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe where he had been a patient the pat week.
Bill was born February 2,1947, in Sabina, Ohio to Howard Frederick and Nola L. Hill McKenzie. He was a graduate of Sabina High School and received a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in social work from The Ohio State University. He lived most of his life in this community.
Before his retirement, he was a social worker at Carlton Manor Nursing Home in Washington Court House.
Bill was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Viet Nam War and enjoyed NASCAR and drag racing.
He was an only child and was preceded in death by his parents.
Bill is survived by his former wife, Patty Reeves McKenzie; two daughters, Robin D. McKenzie and Angela C. Hays, both of Washington Court House; two granddaughters, Eleni and Elexa and several great grandchildren.
To honor his wishes, cremation will be observed.
No visitation or services are planned at this time. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date in the Highlawn Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
