Dad,
You were the number one person in my life, and I don’t think there will ever be enough words to explain what you meant to me. You were my dad, my best friend, my protector, my teacher, and my safe place. Losing you has left a hole in my heart that I know will never truly go away.
You were so full of life. You knew how to enjoy the moment, find something to laugh about, and make the people around you smile. Your amazing smile could light up a room, and one of my favorite things in the world was when you made me laugh. Those are the memories I will hold onto forever.
I will always treasure our daddy-daughter dates—the time you made just for me, the conversations, the laughter, and simply getting to be your daughter. I’ll cherish every fishing trip, every lesson, every story, and every ordinary moment that I never realized would one day become something I would desperately wish I could have back.
You taught me the importance of working hard, doing things the right way, and never giving up. But more importantly, you taught me what family means. You instilled values in us that will stay with us for the rest of our lives. We will carry those values forward, uphold them, and pass them down, so a part of you will continue living through all of us.
I hope you knew how deeply you were loved. I hope you knew that being your daughter was one of the greatest gifts of my life. I would give anything for one more daddy-daughter date, one more fishing trip, one more laugh, one more hug, or just one more chance to see that smile.
Thank you for giving me a lifetime of memories, lessons, laughter, and love. Thank you for being the dad everyone dreams of having, and for being mine.
You were my number one person, Dad. You always will be.
I love you more than words could ever say. I’ll carry you in my heart, live by the lessons you taught me, and honor you for the rest of my life.
Until we meet again. ❤️
