Roger Kirkpatrick

Richard Irwin Teeters, 87, of Washington Court House, Ohio, died Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 7:45 p.m. at his home.

Richard was born April 18, 1936, in Wilmington, Ohio to Clyde and Hazel Jones Teeters.  He was a 1954 graduate of Leesburg High School.

Before his retirement, he had been owner/operator of Teeter’s Home Improvement for 40 years.  He had also been a longtime farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gene Teeters.

Richard is survived by his wife, the former Judith Ann (Judy) Young whom he married November 8, 1985; seven children, Richard Teeters, Jr. and his wife, Ruth, of Leesburg, Joseph Teeters and his wife, Debbie, of Washington Court House, David Teeters of Washington Court House, Connie Lister of Leesburg, Tony Wells and his wife, Dana, of Lewis Center, Julie Carmean of Cadillac MI and Jay Wells and his wife, Christine, of Zolfo Springs, FL; 11 grandchildren; five great grandchildren and two sisters, Phyllis Page and her husband, Ron, of Greenfield and Carolyn Sayers of Pataskala.

Friends may pay their respects at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, from 12 Noon until 1 p.m. at which time a short service will begin at 1 p.m.  Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.

Edward Eugene Bonner, 95, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 9:27 a.m. at Everheart Hospice Center in Greenville, Ohio.

Ed was born February 2, 1928, in Madison County, Ohio to Gus and Hazel Miller Bonner. He was a graduate of Jeffersonville High School and lived most of his life in Washington Court House.

Before his retirement in 1986, he was a 30-year employee of Armco Steel.

Ed was reared on a farm and loved the outdoors.  He was a lifelong gardener and an avid deer hunter but he especially enjoyed spending time with his friends at his camper in Highland County.

On February 3,1947, he married the former Janet Ruth Turner.  She preceded him in death on October 18, 2022.  He was also preceded by his parents and five siblings, Marvene Gueth, Barbara Rae and Herbert, John and Richard Bonner.

Ed is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Lawrence (Steve) Shaltry of Greenville, Ohio; a son and daughter-in-law, Herbert and Luan Bonner of Canal Winchester; five grandchildren, Matthew (Amy) Shaltry, Benjamin Shaltry, Joshua Bonner, Ryan Bonner and Lara (Isaac) DeSanto and two great grandchildren, Christopher and Austin Shaltry.

The funeral will be Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with Danny Dodds, minister at the Greenfield Church of Christ, officiating.  Burial will follow in the New Holland Cemetery.

Jeffery Scott Huysman, 60, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Saturday evening, August 12, 2023, at his home.  Although he had been in failing health, his death was sudden and unexpected.

Jeff was born April 9, 1963, in Washington Court House, Ohio to Robert Harold and Maryann Theresa Youngpeter Huysman.  He was a graduate of Washington High School and was a lifelong resident of this community.

He was a welder for Horton Emergency Vehicles in Grove City for 32 years.

Jeff was member of and instructor and educator of the American Welding Society.  He was also a member of  Fayette Aerie #423 of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and enjoyed fishing, antiquing, going to flea markets and amusement parks.

He was preceded in death by his father in 2012, and his mother in 1990.

Jeff is survived by four children, Kirova Bentley of Canton, NC, Shiann (Morgan Cutlip), Emily Huysman and Braydon Huysman, all of Washington Court House; three grandchildren, Kaiven, Avelynn and Ziaya Bentley; four brothers, Dr. John (Sheryl) Huysman of Daytona Beach, FL; Greg Huysman of Greenfield, Gary (Maureen) Huysman of Charlottesville, VA and Andy Huysman of Washington Court House and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial mass will be celebrated Thursday, August 24, 2023, at 10 a.m. at the St. Colman of Cloyne Catholic Church by the Rev. Father Cyrus Haddad, pastor at the church.  Burial of the cremains will follow in the St. Colman Catholic Cemetery.

H. David Stump, 80, of Sabina, Ohio died Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at 10:43 a.m. at the Autumn Years Nursing Center in Sabina while surrounded by his family.

David was born May 3, 1943, in Scioto County, Ohio to the late Dudley and Ivy Maude Kidder Stump.

He formerly was a plumber in the Sabina area for many years.

David was preceded in death by his wife, the former Nora Arlene Bradley on November 9, 2014, and a daughter, Rose Stump.

He is survived by a daughter, Sherry Laurens of Jamestown; a granddaughter, Amanda (Will) Saylor of Sabina and a great granddaughter, Ava Grace Saylor.

In keeping with David’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral.  Burial will be in the Azmaun Cemetery on Oppy Hill Road near Otway, Ohio.

Patricia Marie Lee Brown, 90, of Sarasota, FL died Sunday, August 6, 2023, at 3:50 p.m. at the Brookdale Palmer Ranch Skilled Nursing Facility in Sarasota, FL. where she had been residing since March.

Mrs. Brown was born August 31, 1932, in Washington Court House, Ohio to Otto and Marie Vance Lee.  She was a 1951 graduate of Washington High School.  She lived most of her life in Bellbrook, Ohio before moving to Colorado in 2014, then to Nashville in 2016.  She had been residing in Florida since March, 2023.

She had been a member of the Hope United Methodist Church in Bellbrook.

On November 24, 1951, she married David Lee Brown.  He preceded her in death on May 8, 2016.  She was also preceded by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Annabell and Earl Jones and Louise and William Cunningham.

She is survived by three children and their spouses, Roxanna and Steve Roda of Placida, FL, Timothy and Toni Brown of Nashville, TN and Kevin and Michaela Brown of Bay Village, Ohio; four grandchildren, Nathanel Brown and his wife, Delanie, Brycen Brown, Jacob Brown and Bridget Brown and two great granddaughters, Makenzie and Kennedy Brown.

The funeral will be Monday, August 14, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with Mell Wickensimer, director of visitation at WCH Grace Methodist Church, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Patricia Lyn (Patty) Bills, 46, of Washington Court House, Ohio, died Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at 4 p.m. at the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus where she had been a patient the past week.  She had been ill since November.

Patty was born February 19, 1977, in London, Ohio to Joe and Joyce Evans Campbell.  She lived most of her life in Washington Court House.

She formerly was a bartender at Mugs & Jugs where she had arranged numerous biker poker runs.

Patty enjoyed beading and making jewelry.

She is survived by her husband, Shawn Nathan Bills whom she married May 18, 2011; five children, Harley (Brandon) Wallace, Destiny Thomas, Landen Coulter, Brooke (Cody) Pollard and Austin Thomas, all of Washington Court House; her mother, Joyce (Kevin Brewer) Baird of London, Ohio, her father, Joe Campbell of Bellefontaine, OH; four grandchildren, Aiden and Addison Wallace, Wylie Pollard and Liam Ellis; five siblings, Jennifer (Jeff) Burlingame of Springfield, OH, Alex (Sonjia) Baird of South Charleston, Eddie Baird and Jaime Campbell, both of London, OH and Crystal Campbell of Bellefountaine, OH and aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

The funeral will be Friday, August 4, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with Paul Crichton, associate minister at Grace Community Church, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Paint Township Cemetery in Madison County.
