Jane De Chantell Bentley died peacefully at home on August 18th in Pleasantville, New Jersey at the age of 73.

Jane was born in Detroit, Michigan to Mary Ellen (nee Wood) and William Siegle Bentley. She graduated from Madonna University with a degree in nursing. She worked as a nurse for Henry Ford Hospital as well as teaching childbirth classes, and later on cared for patients as a home care nurse.

Her children remember her as a loving mother who encouraged their education. She enjoyed crocheting and reading and was a devoted pet owner throughout her life. She was a lifelong Catholic. After retiring and moving to New Jersey, she enjoyed sharing her love of makeup with her granddaughter.

Jane is survived by son Kris (and Houston) Konkel of Garden City, Michigan; son Alex (and Leona) Konkel, and granddaughter Amelia (8) of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey; brother, Bob Bentley (and Dianne Pickering) of The Villages, Florida; and former husband Roger Konkel of Garden City, Michigan.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Colman of Cloyne in Washington Court House, Ohio at 9:30 AM on September 22, 2023, followed by a luncheon. The burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Ohio.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
