COLSON ROBERT GUTHRIE

Colson Robert Guthrie, born March 26, 2003, in Washington Court House, Ohio, passed away at his home on Monday, March 23, 2026, at just 22 years old.

He graduated from Miami Trace High School in 2021, where he played baseball. He continued in travel ball for several years, playing shortstop and pitcher—positions that reflected both his skill and his determination. Colson had a deep love for cars, especially foreign cars, and found joy in attending car meets, Cars and Coffee, and being surrounded by others who shared that passion. But more than anything, Colson loved being with his people. Whether it was spending time with friends or shooting with his brother, Conner, those moments meant everything to him. He loved to cook and was always excited to learn and try new recipes. Colson had a giving heart—he showed up for people without being asked, whether it was a ride to the airport or simply being there when someone needed him. He was dependable, kind, and quietly selfless in the way he cared for others.

Colson was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Betty Smith, and his grandmother, Kay Guthrie.

He is survived by his mother, Donna Riner and Adam Riner; his father, Rob Guthrie, and Lori Guthrie; his brother, Conner Guthrie; his girlfriend, Kylie Snyder; and his grandfather, Keith Guthrie. He is also survived by his Aunt Jodi along with Ridley, Derickya, Lennox, Harlow, Weston, Page, Justin, and Clay; his Aunt Lisa Blackford, along with Abigail, Max, and Noelle and his uncle Brad Guthrie, along with Jen, Trevor, Adam, and Drew.

Though his time here was far too short, Colson’s life was full of love, laughter, and the kind of moments that will never be forgotten. He was deeply loved and will be missed beyond words. Colson was surrounded in life—and will be remembered—by many beloved cousins, aunts, uncles, and dear friends who meant so much to him, and who will carry his memory with them always. He will forever be loved, forever be missed, and never be forgotten

The funeral will be Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 1 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with P.J. Rings, pastor at Lighthouse Church L3C in Ashville, officiating.  Burial will follow in Range Township Cemetery in Madison County.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
