SUSAN ELAINE REDDING

Susan Elaine Redding, 77, of Atlanta, Ohio died Friday, July 31, 2026, at 10:30 p.m. at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus where she had been a patient since Wednesday.

Susan was born July 21, 1949, in Washington Court House, Ohio, to William Henry and Annabelle Shepherd.  She was a graduate of Westfall High School and lived most of her life in Pickaway County and the Atlanta community.

She worked for 25 years at Wincup Plastics in Mount Sterling and retired in 2001, after working ten years at McKesson in Washington Court House.

She enjoyed collecting all types of things, especially Beanie Babies and dolls.  She loved music of all types, especially singing Karaoke but her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

On June 10, 1988, she married Clark Ray Redding.  He preceded her in death on January 27, 2026.  She was also preceded by a son, Tracy Redding on September 22, 2022; her parents and six siblings, Frank, Gladys, Clara, Wendell, Jake and Harold.

Susan is survived by three children, Clark R. Redding, Jr., Thelma Redding and Stacy Redding and his wife, Stacy, all of Atlanta; seven grandchildren, Tyler (Lindy) Sayre, Ricky (Karen) Taylor, Joy (Cody Quincel) Redding, Micah Redding, Tadd (Brandi) Taylor, Brandon (Timberly) Sayre and Kristin Sayre; several great grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Shepherd of Kentucky, William H. Shepherd of Virginia and a sister,  Mary Redding of Michigan; numerous nephews and nieces and many cousins.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 1 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in New Holland with Crystal Spriggs, minister at Heritage Church @ New Holland, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Waterloo Cemetery in Pancoastburg.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service.
