Ernest M. Wilson, 85, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 1:40 a.m. at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe where he had been a patient since July 24.
Ernest was born on December 18, 1940, in Fayette County, Ohio to Raymond and Rosemary Crabtree Wilson and was a lifelong resident of this community.
Before his retirement, he was a truck driver for Mac Tools.
He enjoyed watching westerns and drawing and painting.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Marty Wilson; a daughter, Dawn Wilson; three brothers, Roger, Gerald and Harrison Wilson and a sister, Sandy Snyder.
Ernest is survived by two daughters, Shellie Upman and her husband, Bill of Indiana and Rhonda Moore and her husband, Danny, of Washington Court House; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Randy Wilson and his wife, Chris, of Jamestown and Marvin Wilson and his wife, Shirley of Alabama and a sister, Cathy Wilson Shadley of Washington Court House.
To honor his wishes, cremation will be observed. There will be no visitation or service at this time, however, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
