PAMELA KAY McCONNAUGHEY POLLARD

Pamela Kay Pollard, 76, of Washington Court House, Ohio, died Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 2:19 p.m. at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe where she had been admitted the previous day.

Pam was born March 27, 1948, in Bloomingburg, Ohio to Harold Maywood and Bertha Winona Anderson McConnaughey.  She was a 1966 graduate of Miami Trace High School and later received a bachelor’s degree from Wilberforce University.  She lived most of her life in Bloomingburg, Washington Court House and Greenfield

Before her retirement, she was an administrative assistant at the Greenfield Area Medical Center for 25 years.

She was a member of the Greenfield bridge club, the “Bridgies” and several card clubs in Washington Court House.  She had formerly been a member of the Bloomingburg Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Bloomingburg United Methodist Church.  She currently was a member of the Greenfield United Methodist Church.

On February 26, 1967, she married Jeffrey L. Pollard.  He preceded her in death on December 21, 2019.  She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Hal and Gary McConnaughey.

She is survived by two children, Jeffrey T.D. Pollard of Columbus and Carrie Herdman and her husband, Scott, of Washington Court House and was “Mom” to 10 exchange students from around the world. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Bailey (Eneree Real) and Madison Herdman; a sister, Janet (Fred) Belles of Circleville; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and nieces, nephews and cousins.

To honor her wishes, cremation took place.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with Danny Dodds officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.

    Pam was the sweetest. I got to know Pam while caring for Jeff many years ago. But then had the pleasure of caring for Pam recently as well. Everyone here at Adena Greenfield send our deepest Condolences. Prayers for the days ahead.
