Janet Ruth Bonner, 95, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at 11:11 a.m. at Signature HealthCARE of Fayette County where she had been a patient since September 30.

Janet was born February 23, 1927, at Atlanta in Pickaway County, Ohio to Walter Max and Helen Graham Turner. She was a graduate of Atlanta High School and lived most of her life in this community.

She was a retired beautician.

Janet was a member of the South Side Church of Christ; had formerly been a Sunday school teacher and Girl Scout leader and loved crafting, baking and painting.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Warner (Jack), Darrell, James and Harold Turner and four sisters, Mary Parrott, Cora Michael, Joanne Medary and Helen Galloway.

Janet is survived by her husband, Edward E. Bonner whom she married February 3, 1947; a daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Lawrence Shaltry of Greenville, Ohio; a son and daughter-in-law, Herbert and Luan Bonner of Canal Winchester; five grandchildren, Matthew (Amy) Shaltry, Benjamin Shaltry, Joshua Bonner, Ryan Bonner and Lara (Isaac) DeSanto; two great grandchildren, Christopher and Austin Shaltry; a brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Judith Turner of Columbus; a sister, Margaret Durham of California and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Friday, October 21, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with Danny Dodds, minister at the Greenfield Church of Christ, officiating.  Burial will follow in the New Holland Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House from 10 a.m. Friday until time of the service.
