Ruth Ann Duncan, age 76, of Cedarville, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024, at the Miami Valley Medical Center in Dayton.

She was born July 31, 1947, in Fayette County, Ohio to Boyd and Helen (Alltop) Kearns.

Ruth Ann had been a hairdresser for many years, most recently with Take 2 Hair Studio in Washington Court House where she had worked until retiring.

She had served as secretary for the ladies auxiliary at the Washington Court House Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #423.  Ruth Ann enjoyed playing cards, and loved spending time with her family.

Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Duncan; mother, Helen Alltop; step-father Boyd Kearns and a brother Danny Kearns.

She is survived by six children, Twila Powell of Florida, Gene (Lisa) Duncan of Washington Court House, Millie (Randy) Bock of Washington Court House, Tony (Melissa) Duncan of Washington Court House, Nicole Duncan of Wahington Court House, and Jamie (Brenda) Duncan of Circleville; 11 grandchildren, Ty Bock, Trey Bock, Adam (April) Havens, Amanda Havens, Courtney Havens, Bethany Havens, Hunter Smith, Jessica (Rene) Canales, Kayla Duncan, Ryan Duncan, and Megan (Hadin) Coy; 16 great grandchildren, Garrett, Andrew, Aubree, Kyler, Greyson, Bryleigh, Brayden, Elleanna, Elijah, Jaron, Zaiden, Emmalee, Mallory, Leeah, Anthony, and Brandon; siblings, Sonny (Tina) Kearns of Florida, Becky (Chuck) Holloway of Washington Court House, and Sheila Simpson of West Virginia; several nieces and nephews; and many great friends including Randy Perry and Sharon Anthony.

A service by the Eagles Lodge Ladies Auxiliary  will begin at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 2, 2024, at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House .  The funeral will immediately follow with Joy Stanforth, associate pastor at Heritage Memorial Church, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Range Township Cemetery, Midway, Ohio.

Visitation will be held Friday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

There will be a gathering for family and friends in the back room of the Washington Court House Eagles, 320 Sycamore Street Washington Court House.
