ELIZABETH ANN “LIZ” PENCE

Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Pence, 81, of New Holland, Ohio died Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 6 p.m. at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe where she had been a patient since September 17.

Liz was born June 1, 1943, in Fayette County, Ohio to Floyd Woodrow and Betty Mae Boyd Redding.  She lived most of her life in the New Holland community.

She formerly had worked at McKesson Corporation in Washington Court House and Willow Wood in Mount Sterling.

Liz enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

On May 28, 1960, she married Robert Arthur Pence.  He preceded her in death on March 12, 2009.  She was also preceded by a son and daughter-in-law, Rocky and Leslie Pence and siblings, Alberta, Verner, Annabelle, William “Bill” and Floyd “Pete” Redding, Carolyn Pence and Lily Self.

She is survived by  daughter and son-in-law, Tirina and Larry Mollohan of Bloomingburg; three grandchildren, Dustin (Rachael) Pence of Circleville, April (Brian) Dollison of Chillicothe and Crystal (Mike) McClaskie of London; eight great grandchildren, Gabriel and Emily Decker, Morgan, Bailey and Cayden Pence, Alyssa and Connor Dollison and Nikki McClaskie; five siblings, Thelma Redding of Washington Court House, Clark (Susan) Redding of Atlanta, Sherman (Danna) Redding of New Holland, Lucretia (Clarence Lunsford) Bethel of Frankfort and Berniece (Larry) Perkins of Sedalia and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral will be Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the New Holland Church of Christ in Christian Union with Crystal Spriggs, minister at the church, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Waterloo Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church from 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in New Holland.
