Helen Mae Mitchell, 90, of Washington Court House, Ohio, formerly of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at 9:10 a.m. at Four Seasons of Washington Nursing and Rehabilitation where she had been residing since August 9.

Helen was born October 24, 1931, in Clay County, West Virginia to Benjamin Franklin and Jessie Mabel Facemire Ackley.  She lived most of her life in the Hillsboro and Washington Court House communities and formerly was a nurse’s aide at Fayette County Memorial Hospital.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shawna Mitchell; a brother, John Ackley; two half-brothers, James and Charles Moore and four half-sisters, Dana Moore, Mary Walters, Marie Wilson and Ruby Hurless.

Helen is survived by two children, Mark Mitchell of Washington Court House and Jana Mitchell, of Columbus; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation will be observed and there will be no visitation or service.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.

 A memorial service for Jim and Winnie Perrill, of Florida, formerly of Washington Court House, will be held Friday, October 29, 2021, at 1 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with Mell Wickensimer, director of visitation at the  Grace United Methodist Church, officiating.  Private burial of the cremains will follow in the Washington Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Friday, October 29, 2021, from 11 a.m. until time of the service

Robert Dale “Bob” Minzler, Jr, 59, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Monday, October 18, 2021, at 3:50 p.m. at Clinton Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient since September 8.

Bob was born February 17, 1962, in Wilmington, Ohio to Robert Dale and Anna Marie Frost Minzler.  He was a 1980 graduate of Washington High School and lived most of his life in this community.

He was mostly known in the community as the store manager at TSC where he worked for 43 years.  He took great joy in helping those within the community.

Bob always put his family first and never knew a stranger.  In addition to being a family man, he was an avid hunter, motorcycle rider, “jeeper” and huge animal lover.  He was a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation, Sportsman Alliance, Whitetails Unlimited and the National Rifle Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bob is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lindsay and Rob Miller of Washington Court House; son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Stef Gentry of Piketon; two grandchildren, Owen Miller and Lydiah Farmer; his fiancée, Jennifer Wilson and her children, Edward and Leona Wilson; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Terry Rodgers of Greenfield; a brother, Andy Minzler of Piketon and his special fur buddy, Dixon.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 28, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the Good Hope Cemetery with the Rev. Tony Garren, pastor at the Fayette Bible Church, officiating.

Friends may call at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House Wednesday, October 27, 2021, from 4-8 p.m.

Sonja Angelika Seiler, 90, of Washington Court House, Ohio, died Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 5:34 a.m. at her home.

Sonja was born July 1, 1931, in Erlangen, Germany to Josef and Anna Demmelmayer Krabez.  She moved to Washington Court House in 1959, from Germany.

She was a teller at the First National Bank in Washington Court House for ten years and then assisted her husband in the operation of Intercontinental Services.

Sonja had been a longtime member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and currently was a member of All Saints Church.  She was a charter member of the Altrusa Club of Washington Court House and had served 25 years as a volunteer with the Fayette County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary of which she was a past treasurer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hans G. Seiler on October 29, 2000, and was the last of her family.

Sonja is survived by her dear friends, Helga Kent, Donna Vicarel and Richard Penwell, of Washington Court House and her church, Altrusa and many other special friends.

In keeping with her request, cremation will be observed.

A graveside service will be held Monday, October 25, 2021, at 2 p.m. in the Washington Cemetery with the Rev. Father Warren Huestis, rector at All Saints Church, officiating. Burial will be under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.

Edgar Eugene Nungester, Jr., 72, of New Holland, Ohio died Monday, October 11, 2021, at 6:35 p.m. at Signature HealthCARE of Fayette County where he had been a patient since July 29.

Ed was born September 15, 1949, in Circleville, Ohio to Edgar Eugene and Kathryn Conrad Nungester.  He was a 1968 graduate of Circleville High School and moved to New Holland in 1966.

He was a nursing aide and security guard at the Chillicothe Veterans Administration Medical Center for 25 years until his retirement in 1999.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a United State Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Paul H. Hughey Post #25 of the American Legion in Washington Court House.

Ed is survived by his wife, Alta Mae Osborn whom he married December 29, 1979; a son and daughter-in-law, Ty Edison and Anna Nungester and a grandson, Zachary Nungester, of Westerville; a brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Mert Nungester of Ashville; a sister, Candy Miller of Orient and an aunt, Millie Flores of Ashville.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation will be observed and there will be no visitation or service.
