Martha E. Irons Kellenberger, 88, a resident of Court House Manor since January 2021, died Saturday, November 27, 2021, at 9:40 p.m. shortly after arrival at the Adena Fayette Medical Center.
Martha was born June 8, 1933, in Fayette County, Ohio to Clyde and Nellie Penrod Irons. She was a graduate of Washington High School and a lifelong resident of this community.
She was a member of the Fayette County Commission on Aging and the First Christian Church.
On September 4, 1955, she married Dana H. Kellenberger, Jr. He preceded her in death on July 18, 2002. She was also preceded by her parents and four brother, Ralph Irons, Clyde Irons, Jr., James Irons and baby Bobby Irons.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Jeffrey King of Washington Court House, grandchildren and great grandchildren, Bethany Kloss and her husband, Aaron, and their children, Lane and Aven, of Centerburg, Ohio; Valerie Higelin and her husband, Brandon, and their daughter, Camden, of Albuquerque, NM and Michael King and his wife, Morgan, and their daughters, Liza, Molly, Kate and Hattie of Morehead, KY; a sister, Betty Oesterle of Washington Court House and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be Friday, December 3, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the Bloomingburg Cemetery with Danny Dodds, minister at the Greenfield Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
There will be no calling hours.
