William Dean Hill, 68, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at 6:31 p.m. at his home. He had been ill since last November.
Bill was born March 31, 1955, in Ashland, KY, to William Gaines and Mary Margaret Carley Hill. He was a graduate of Teays Valley High School and lived many years in Ashville. He moved to Washington Court House in 2022, after living in Lakeland, Florida since 2013.
He was a firefighter with the Columbus Fire Department for 25 years and then a driver for United Parcel Service for 13 years before his retirement in 2013.
Bill was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bill is survived by his wife, the former Rhonda Marie Harrison whom he married September 3, 1994; two sons; Doug Hill and Michael Hill and his wife, Laura, all of Westerville and eight grandchildren.
To honor his wishes, cremation will take place.
A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.

Bill was a great cook at Station 4, 3 Unit, coming from Station 15 by BC McCoy because Bill made great chicken. He was a good Second Rescue and HazMat Tech.
