Betty Jane Holland, 98, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Friday, December 9, 2022, at 6:07 a.m. at her home.
Betty was born March 25, 1924, in Washington Court, Ohio to Montford Edison and Louise Minshall Stewart. She was a graduate of Washington High School and lived most of her life in Washington Court House.
She formerly was a longtime legal secretary at Kiger Law Office and had assisted in the Office of the Fayette County Prosecutor. She had also worked at Parrett Insurance Agency.
Betty was a member of the Heritage Memorial Church of Christ in Christian Union. She was an avid crocheter and enjoyed playing computer games. She also loved her travels to Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Herbert “Bert” Holland on March 18, 1988, and a son-in-law, Dennis Warner.
She is survived by four children, Alan “Chip” Holland and his wife, Claudia, of Topinabee, MI; Toni Kay Warner of Delaware, Ohio, Dianne “Dee Dee” Moulder and her husband, Darryl, of Canal Fulton, OH and Debbie Miller and her husband, Kevin, of Washington Court House; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and her beloved dog, Sweetie.
A private graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at the Washington Cemetery with her son-in-law, the Rev. Darryl Moulder, officiating. Burial will be under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
There will be no calling hours.
