A memorial service for Betty Jean Montgomery, 95, of Washington Court House will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Judy Chapel in Washington Cemetery, with Mell Wickensimer, director of visitation at the Grace United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial of the cremains will follow in Washington Cemetery under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
Betty, widow of Joseph Benson (Ben) Montgomery, died, January 29, 2023, at Court House Manor Nursing Home.
Jeff. I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. No matter the age, it is tough. I fondly remember your mother taking a car load of Jr-Hi cheerleaders to a game in Hillsboro. It was a hilly ride and every time we went over one of those little dips, your mother would always say “Kiss me Quick” That’s what Ben called those dips, she told us. To this day, 60+ years later, every time I go over a dip I think of her and the Kiss me Quicks. What a sweet lady. My sympathy. Hope to see you this summer at our 75 birthday party… Dee Dews Justice
