WADE D. “BUCK” WAGNER (Updated Arrangements)

Wade D. “Buck” Wagner, 65, of New Holland, Ohio died Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 4:48 p.m. at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe where he had been a patient since November 17.

Buck was born November 23, 1957, in Kittanning, PA to Carl F. and Gladys M. Shetler Wagner.  He attended Shannock Valley High School in Pennsylvania and moved to the New Holland community in 1989, from Pennsylvania.

He was a self-employed carpenter.

Buck proudly served as a Seabee in U.S. Navy for thirteen years.

He was a member of the Amvets; enjoyed working with his hands and building things and spending time with his grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Wayne, Blaine, Donald and Carl “Sonny” Wagner.

He is survived by his wife, the former Vickie Sue Donohoe whom he married March 8, 1982; a son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Amber Wagner of Lithopolis, OH; a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Keith Furry of Ann Arbor, MI; a grandson, Brantley Wagner and three siblings, Virginia (John) Reddinger of Rural Valley, PA; Gene Wagner of Carmichaels, PA and Janet Wagner of Virginia Beach, VA.

Buck chose to give the gift of life and sight to others by becoming a tissue and cornea donor.

Cremation was observed.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 2 p.m. at the New Holland Church of Christ, 326 North Main Street, with Richard Matthews, former minister at the church, officiating.

Friends may call at the church Saturday from 12 Noon until the time of the service.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in New Holland.
