TIMOTHY JOHN VAN HORN

Timothy John Van Horn, 61, of New Holland, Ohio died Thursday, June 27, 2024, at his home.  His death was sudden and unexpected.

Tim was born July 20, 1962, in Grove City, Ohio to Samuel and Arlene Ruetty Van Horn.  He moved to New Holland 20 years ago from Grove City.

He currently was co-owner of Lexen Iron Workz in Bloomingburg.  He formerly had been owner of Bloomingburg Spring and Wire Form and Springbok in Bloomingburg which made weight equipment for professional football teams and weightlifters.

He was a power lifter for over ten years and took great pleasure in his Mopar collection.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Van Horn.

He is survived by his wife, the former Peggy Jean Weeter, whom he married March 21, 2017; a daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Shawn Hall of Columbus; a son and daughter-in-law, Jacob and Emily Moore of New Holland; two grandchildren, Gavin Dardin and Presley Moore; a brother, Daniel Van Horn of the Czech Republic; several nieces and nephews; his longtime friend, Jimmy Fetters; numerous special friends and his canine buddies, Tanker and Ashley.

The funeral will be Monday, July 1, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.  Burial will follow in the Concord Cemetery in Grove City.

Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
