Marvin Eugene Stout, 81, of Circleville, Ohio died Sunday, October 29, 2023, at 9:44 p.m. at his home.
Marvin was born August 11, 1942, in Circleville to Hulda Marie Shepherd and Marvin Eugene Stout. Except for several years in Florida, he lived most of his life in the Circleville community.
Before his retirement he was a heavy equipment operator and a member of Operating Engineers Local Union #18 in Columbus.
He was a member and elder of the Living by Faith Ministries in Circleville. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2256 in Circleville.
Marvin loved fishing, hunting, guns, knives, John Wayne movies, harvest time and eagles.
He was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Kasindra and Jimmy Monst; a grandson William Dennie Evans, III; a son-in-law, Stanley Reinhart; his parents; a sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Frank Vandergriff; an infant brother, Michael Crago and a brother-in-law, Harry Riffle.
Marvin is survived by his wife, the former Shirley Ann Martin whom he married March 10, 1963; four children, Ketrina Reinhart of McConnelsville, OH; Kasandra Childers and her husband, Rick, of Orient, Marvin and Melanie Stout of Alberta, Alabama and William Stout and his wife, Kristy, of Chillicothe; 19 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce Riffle of Tarlton and Anne McAllister-Smith and her husband, Victor, of Chillicothe and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Friday, November 3, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the Living by Faith Ministries, 8557 State Route 56, Circleville, Ohio with Pastor Scott McCormick officiating. Burial, with complete military honors, will follow in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery near Kingston. Following the graveside service, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the church.
Friends may call at the church Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
