Sharon Ann Green, 81, of New Holland, Ohio died Monday, December 29, 2025, at 7 a.m. at the home of her daughter in Marietta, Mississippi where she had been residing since September.
Sharon was born on November 9, 1944, in Deerfield Township in Ross County, Ohio to Floyd Forest and Dorothy Eileen Boling Pence.
She formerly was a housekeeper at the Deer Creek State Park lodge and had been a waitress and cashier.
Sharon was a member of the New Holland Church of Christ in Christian Union. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, gardening and taking care of her birds.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Ann Pence Weaver; her parents; three brothers, William “Bill” Pence, Joseph Pence and Norman Pence and a sister-in-law, Carol Pence.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Reece and her husband, Jeff, of Marietta, MS, four grandsons, James Reddell, Todd Reddell, Adam Reece and Abe Weaver; three brothers, Roger Pence and his wife, Ruth, and John Pence, all of Corinth, MS. and Charles Pence of New Holland; two sisters, Mary Pence of New Holland and Dawn Pence of Washington Court House and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in New Holland with the Rev. Larry Doss, officiating. Burial will follow in the Brown’s Chapel Cemetery near Clarksburg.
Friends may call at the funeral home in New Holland on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
