ROMA JEAN WARNER BEVERLY

Roma Jean Warner Beverly, 77, of New Albany, IN, formerly of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away peacefully Friday, March 13, 2026, with family at her side.

Roma was born May 2, 1948, in Washington Court House, OH to Ray D. and Maxine Wilt Warner.  She was a 1966 graduate of Miami Trace High School and attended Kent State University.  She moved to Jeffersonville, IN in 1994, from Dayton, VA and lived there until moving to New Albany in November 2025.

She and her husband were actively involved with Christ Gospel Church. Together they pastored a congregation in Dayton, VA for ten years before moving to Jeffersonville, IN, where she was a bookkeeper for the church until she retired at the age of 72.

Roma enjoyed spending time gardening in her flower beds, and she took great pride in her collection of day lilies. She especially loved pansies, which she planted in abundance throughout her yard.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph William Beverly whom she married on January 30, 1972; two daughters and sons-in-law, Christy and Bryan Wiskeman of Headwaters, VA and Mary and Billy Heil of  New Albany; three grandchildren, Chase, Hazel and Max; a sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca and Al Adams of Lebanon, OH; a brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Brenda Warner of Washington Court House; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Art Beverly and Linda Wilson Beverly, of Grove City, OH, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held Friday, March 27, 2026, at 1 p.m. at the Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery with Danny Dodds officiating.  Burial will be under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.

There will be no visitation.
