Robert Andrew Crouse, 87, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 9:20 p.m. at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe where he had been a patient since July 3.
Bob was born March 19, 1938, in Owosso, MI to Gilbert C. and Margaret Sawer Crouse. He was a 1956 graduate of Washington High School and attended The Ohio State University.
Before his retirement in 2002, he had been an insurance underwriter for Meade Corporate in Kettering, Ohio.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Washington Court House where he was a past elder and current trustee. He was also a member of the New Covenant Emmaus Community; was a veteran of the United State Army and a member of Paul H. Hughey Post #25 of the American Legion.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, David Sherwood and a brother, Gilbert C. Crouse, Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife, the former Nancy Carleen Allen whom he married June 6, 2009; a daughter, Tami Sherwood and a son, Matthew Crouse and his wife, Liz, all of Nashville, TN; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren and two sisters-in-law, Peggy Crouse of Greenville, NC. and Natalie Ware of Washington Court House.
To honor his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date at the First Presbyterian Church in Washington Court House.
