Mark Jeffrey Workman, 68, of Washington Court House, Ohio died early Monday morning, April 6, 2026, at his home.
Mark was born August 10, 1957, in Wilmington, Ohio to Virgil Vinson and Kitty Henrietta Armbrust Workman. He was a 1975 graduate of Washington High School and was a lifelong resident of this community.
Before his retirement in January 2026, he was an engineer with Stark Truss.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church and served on the church board. He had formerly served as a trustee at the Sugar Creek Baptist Church and assisted in the design of their Christian Center. He was a member of the Wilmington Area Emmaus Community and a Chrysalis administrator. He enjoyed flying model airplanes and was an avid enthusiast of the Laser 917 car kit. He loved computers and technology and took great pride in assisting members of the community with their technological questions and problems.
On December 6,1980, he married the former Janet Kay McNabb. She preceded him in death on March 23, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carol and Bill Hankins and brothers-in-law, Ronald L. Dowler, Michael B. Campbell, Marvin L. Heinberger and Bob Graska.
He is survived by a son, Lucas J. Workman and his fiancée, Natasha Nohle, of East Stroudsburg, PA; a brother and sister-in-law, Virgil V. and Vera Workman of Sabina; a sister and brother-in-law, Diana and Tom Douglas of New Lebanon, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Heinberger of Mansfield and Paula Campbell of Washington Court House; his Goddaughter, Abby Chizmar; his dogs, Paxton and Milo and several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Washington Court House with Bobby Seymour, minister at the church, officiating.
Cremation will follow the service and burial of the cremains will be at a later date in Washington Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 4-7 p.m.
