Joanne Mary McDaniel, 82, of Leesburg, Ohio (Fayette County) died Sunday, July 13, 2025, at 2:35 a.m. at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe where she had been a patient since July 7.
Joanne was born December 23, 1942, in Philadelphia, PA to Joseph Theodore and Edna Mary Horning Kerstulja. She was a graduate of St. Hubert’s High School in Philadelphia. She moved to Fayette County 35 years ago from Mount Sterling, Ohio.
She formerly had been a member at St. Colman of Cloyne Catholic Church where she taught CCD Catechism classes. She later attended St. Benignus Catholic Church in Greenfield.
Joanne was preceded in death by her parents and a sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Robert Hasson.
She is survived by her husband, Jackson L. McDaniel whom she married October 7, 1961; two sons and daughters-in-law, David L. and Patty McDaniel of Centerville and Joseph L. and Paula McDaniel of San Antonia, TX and six grandchildren.
To honor her wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no visitation or service.
