Joanna Marie “Sally” Jones, 81, of New Holland, Ohio died Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 8 p.m. at her home.
Sally was born June 22, 1944, in Washington, D.C. to John Carson and Dolly Marie Newberry Mullins. She was a long-time resident of Clintwood, VA and had moved to New Holland ten years ago.
She enjoyed arts and crafts, painting and sewing but her biggest joy was taking care of her family. She had a spirited personality and was the orneriest and crabbiest, but most loving person, anyone has ever met.
Sally was preceded by her husband, Johnny Jones in 1980; by a daughter Arllinda Dunn in 2023; a sister, Judy and the father of her children, Lesley Dunn in 2005.
She is survived by three children, Johnny (Jenny) Dunn of Obetz, Ohio, Rick (Melissa Rubin) Dunn of Mount Sterling and Monty (Vanessa Buckner) Dunn of New Holland; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a brother, Ronald Mullins of Indiana; three sisters, Bonnie of Florida, Yvonne of Michigan and Marlene of Sunbury, Ohio and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
To honor her wishes, cremation will be observed and her cremains will be returned to her beloved Clintwood, Virginia.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Sally’s home in New Holland.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in New Holland.
