Jerry Dean Tuttle, 69, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 3:22 p.m. at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe where he had been admitted earlier in the day.
Jerry was born January 19, 1956, in Mount Sterling, KY to James and Alpha Harmon Tuttle. He was a 1974 graduate of Miami Trace High School and lived most of his life in the community.
He was a material handler at Calmar in Washington Court House for 24 years before his retirement in 2000. He owned and operated his own handyman business and also did maintenance work for Woda in Jamestown and the Holiday Inn Express in Washington Court House. He currently was employed by the Perry Township trustees.
Jerry was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. He enjoyed kayaking, hiking and rock collecting. He loved animals, especially his dog, Buddy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a nephew, Jason Tuttle; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Fay and Geneva Washburn and two brothers-in-law, Jimmie Washburn and Steve Lucas.
He is survived by his wife, the former Tonya Sue Washburn who he married June 22, 1987; three siblings, Bill Tuttle and his wife, Jill, of Washington Court House, Barbara Lucas of New Holland and Carol Tuttle of Washington Court House; nieces and nephews, Brian, Scott, Dawn, Justin, Jeremy, Beth and Brandi; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rebecca and Larry Rowe of Washington Court House and his kayaking buddies, Darrell Upp and Terry Wilson.
To honor his wishes, cremation will be observed and there will be no visitation or service at this time.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
