FREDDIE G. “FRED” MILES

Freddie G. “Fred” Miles, 86, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Thursday, November 4, 2021, at his home.

Fred was born November 29, 1934, in Soldier, KY to Earl and Bertha Patrick Miles.  He had lived in this community since 1948 and attended Washington City Schools.

Before his retirement, he worked in auto body repair for 40 years and had owned and operated Miles Body Shop.  He had also formerly worked for Brandenburg Motor Sales.

He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church; the National Rifle Association; the Fayette County Fish and Game Association and was a founding member of the Dragin Angels Car Club.  He loved fishing, working on his show truck, watching NASCAR races and being with his family.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert “Bob” Miles and a sister, Lou Alice Clark.

He is survived by his wife, the former Donna Jane “Janey” Sutterfield whom he married January 29, 1963; a son, Jeffrey K. Miles and his friend, Stephanie Fryant, and a daughter, Roxanna L. Thacker, all of Washington Court House; two grandchildren, David Morris and his wife, Kacy, and Quinton Miles and his wife, Paige; four great grandchildren; Brandon and Chase Morris and Bailey and Natalie Miles and a sister-in-law, Catherine Miles of Greensboro, NC.

The funeral will be Monday, November 8, 2021, at 1 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick
Funeral Home in Washington Court House with the Rev. Brandon Lee, pastor at the Calvary Baptist Church, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 11 a.m. until time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, friends may plant a tree in Fred’s memory or give a contribution to your local church.
