FRANK EDWARD ZIRKLES

Frank Edward Zirkles, 79, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Thursday, November 30, 2023, at his home.

Frank was born August 11, 1944, at Bainbridge in Ross County, Ohio to Jesse James and Ethel Walls Zirkles.  He was a graduate 1962 of Edward Lee McClain High School and lived most of his life in Greenfield before moving to Washington Court House.

Before his retirement, he had worked at RCA in Circleville.

He was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Frank was famous for his storytelling and infectious laugh.  He was a deep thinker, intelligent and very knowledgeable about many things in life.  He loved working with his hands on anything electrical and mechanical.  He enjoyed a competitive game of golf.  Frank also enjoyed big family gatherings.  He was loved by his family and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Doug and Tommy Zirkles; a sister, Ruth Byers; a nephew, Tommy Zirkles and two brothers-in-law, Keith Veach and Hager Risner.

Frank, who was never married, is survived by two brothers, Denny Zirkles and his wife, Linda, and John Zirkles, all of Greenfield; three sisters, Kathryn Scott and her husband, Bill, of Columbus, Joann Risner of Piketon and Susie Veach of Cincinnati and numerous nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation will be observed and there will be no visitation or service.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
