Cindy Jane Gilpen, 67, of Washington Court House, Ohio, died Friday, October 24, 2025, at 11:18 a.m. at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus where she had been a patient since Monday.
Cindy, the daughter of Sarah Louise Gilpen, was born January 2, 1958, in Fayette County, Ohio. She was a 1976 graduate of Miami Trace High School and was a lifelong resident of this community.
She was a member of the Wesleyan Holiness Church in Washington Court House and enjoyed crocheting and crafting.
Cindy was preceded in death by her mother on November 7, 2024, and two great grandchildren, Athena and Christina Schick.
She is survived by a daughter, Crystal R. (Cliff Sweet) Schick of Washington Court House and three grandchildren, Jared (Heather Smith) Schick, Christopher (Emily Jacobs) Schick and Sarah Schick.
A memorial service will be held at a later date with burial to follow in New Holland Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
