Christopher Willis Cartwright, 51, of Washington Court House, Ohio went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 5:53 p.m. at the Copper Knoll Health and Rehabilitation Center where he had been residing since March 13, 2024.
Chris was born April 12, 1973, in Washington Court House, Ohio to Willis E. and Lucy Ann Downs Cartwright, Jr. He was a 1991 graduate of Miami Trace High School and received a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education from Capital University in 1995. He studied organizational management for one year at Wilberforce University and received a degree in theology in 2005, from the Landmark Baptist Bible College in Milford, Ohio.
He was a missionary pastor at Missionary Ambassador Ministries. He also was a receptionist at the Holiday Inn Express in Washington Court House before becoming an assistant in the activities department at Four Seasons of Washington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Chris was a member of the Bible Baptist Temple and attended Fayette Bible Church. He was the author of several books and traveled extensively to many countries. He enjoyed computer work, particularly his missionary podcasts.
He was preceded in death by his father on February 22, 1990.
Chris is survived by his mother, Lucy A. Cartwright of Washington Court House; two aunts, Nancy Ritter of Circleville and Elsie Shope of Washington Court House; several cousins and his many church and missionary friends.
The funeral will be held Monday, January 27, 2025, at 12 Noon. at the Fayette Bible Church with Pastor Tony Garren officiating. Burial will follow in the Highlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service
