John “Buster” Langley, Jr., 88, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 8:50 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Manor of Washington Court House where he had been residing since February.
Buster was born May 17, 1937, in Pike County, Ohio to John Wesley and Charlene Elizabeth Eleanor Taylor Langley. He was a 1957 graduate of Washington High School where he was a member of the FFA.
He was a general contractor and had been in charge of property maintenance for Airborne Express in Wilmington. He also remodeled employee apartments for Sugar Creek Packing Company.
Buster was an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan; enjoyed the music of Johnny Cash and looked forward each day to being with his buddies at Burger King.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Ronnie, Donnie and William Langley; a sister, Fannie Langley and her husband, Richard Uszak and two sisters-in-law, Bill’s wife, Joyce Langley and Roy’s wife, Carol Langley.
Buster is survived by his wife, the former Beverly Ann Campbell whom he married May 24, 1959; two sons, Jody Langley and his wife, Melanie, of Washington Court House, John A. Langley and his partner, Christopher Lane Mayer, of Cincinnati; four grandchildren, August, Anthony, Anna and Isaiah Langley; three brothers, Roy Langley, Robert Langley and his wife, Carol, and Harry Langley and his wife, Dona, all of Washington Court House; a sister, Doris Rowland and her husband, Jim, of New Holland and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 1 p.m., at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with Mell Wickensimer, director of visitation at WCH Grace Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service.

Alan LeRoy Tapp, born on December 5, 1939, in Austin, MN, peacefully departed this life on August 23, 2025, at Court House Manor Nursing Home in Washington Court House, OH. Nicknamed “Gopher” for coming from Minnesota, Alan is remembered for his warm smile and ability to bring a smile to the faces of others.
