Alta Mae Osborn, 75, of New Holland, Ohio died Friday, September 6, 2024, at 11:25 a.m. at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor in Columbus where she had been a patient two weeks.
Alta was born October 3, 1948, in Ranger, WV to Edgar and Nora Lee Walker Osborn. She was a 1966 graduate of Southwestern High School in Gallia Co., Ohio moved to New Holland in 1966 from Rio Grande.
She was an aide at Orient State Institute for 12 years and had been a cosmetologist, tailor and seamstress.
On December 29, 1979, she married Edgar Eugene Nungester, Jr. He preceded her in death on October 11, 2021. She was also preceded by her parents and two brothers, Eldon Eugene and James Lee Osborn.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ty Edison and Anna Nungester and a grandson, Zachary Nungester, all of Westerville and a sister, Helena May of Johnstown.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation will be observed and there will be no visitation or service.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in New Holland.

Alta was a very good neighbor, will miss her. She was always sharing & giving. We both worked at Orient. She was always calling to check on us & keeping me updated. So pray for her family & friends.
