
Gary Joe Joseph, 65, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 2:25 p.m. at home.
Gary was born June 27, 1960, in Fayette County, Ohio to Gary Leon “Jake” and Karen Huffman Joseph and was a lifelong resident of this community.
Before his retirement in 2025, he was a forklift operator at New Sabina Industries. He had formerly worked at Sugar Creek Packing Company.
Gary enjoyed riding motorcycles, listening to music and going to concerts, watching football and animals.
He was preceded in death by his father in 2010, and five brothers, Terry, Barry, Ivan, Larry and James “Buck” Joseph.
Gary is survived by his wife, the former Tina Marie Detty; two daughters, Carissa (Joe) Syrus of Chillicothe and Courtney (Stephen Allen) of Lancaster; two step children, Joey L. Morris and Jacki L. Morris, both of Washington Court House; four grandchildren, Chaylee and Kenzie Wilson and Cameron and Carley Allen; six step grandchildren, Jacob (Tonya) Morris, Aaron Morris, Emily Morris, Zoey Morris and Noah Morris, all of whom were reared in the Joseph home and Serenity Morris; his mother, Karen Joseph; two brothers, Anthony “Tony” Joseph and Randy (Amy) Joseph, all of Washington Court House; several nieces, nephews and cousins and his companion Yorkies, Dixie, Isabella, Binki, Scruffi, Little Rose, Baby Doll, Punkin, Anna, Romeo, Chica Louise and Albert.
Arrangements for a visitation and funeral, followed by cremation, are being completed and will be announced by the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House when finalized. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date in the Highlawn Cemetery.
