Nancy Mae Rolfe, 87, of Marysville, Ohio, formerly of Washington Court House, Ohio died Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 5:26 p.m. at the home of her daughter in Marysville.
Nancy was born January 19, 1937, in Marion, Ohio to William Ernest and Garnet Kearns Barnett. She moved to Washington Court House in 2000, from Mount Sterling.
Before her retirement in 2000, she had worked for the State of Ohio Department of Administrative Services for 25 years.
She was a member of Heritage Memorial Church of Christ in Christian Union. She enjoyed attending the Friday night activities at the Rose Avenue Community Center; eating at the Willow restaurant and especially going to garage sales.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Rolfe on June 14, 2003; a daughter, Tammy Glispie on April 8, 2022; a grandson, Jerome Caldwell; a son-in-law, Daryle Nicholson; a brother, Ernest “Junior” Barnett and three sisters, Vonnie Shadley, Phyllis Phillips and Helen Davis.
She is survived by three children and their spouses, Terry and Charlie Staten of Columbus; Tracy Nicholson of Marysville and Eddie and Kris Conger of Orient, Ohio; a son-in-law, Tony Glispie of Washington Court House; nine grandchildren, Brandon (Briana) Nicholson, Brittany (Austin) Summers, Bryce Nicholson, Tyler (Lauren) Conger, Tonya (Paul) Annon, Melissa Bailey, Gladys Annie Bailey, Rhonda Bailey and Felicia Bailey; several great grandchildren; a brother, Ronald Barnett of Washington Court House; two sisters, Garnet Shadley and Bessie Posey; a brother-in-law, Joey Phillips, all of Washington Court House and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be Monday, September 9, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with the Rev. Joe Duvall officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
