Debra Lynn Saxton, 69, of Leesburg, Ohio died Monday, June 24, 2024, at 3:30 p.m. at her home.
Debra was born July 8, 1954, in Pickaway County, Ohio to Royal Edward and Oney A. Short Kearns. She lived most of her life in Washington Court House before moving to Leesburg 20 years ago.
She had worked at the Eastgate Walmart for 30 years before her retirement in 2021.
Debra enjoyed traveling, camping and wine tasting.
On August 16,1972, she married Emery S. Saxton. He preceded her in death on April 26,1999. She was also preceded by a brother, Ronald L. Kearns on September 5, 1988, and her step-father, Wallace (Doug) Douglas on September 24, 1988.
She is survived by three children, Michelle Saxton of Marathon, OH, Shawn (Lee Ann Whited) Saxton of Felicity, OH and Jaime Saxton of Leesburg; two grandsons, Ronnie (Cassie) Younker and Sebastion Saxton; a great grandson, Emery Younker; a brother, Royal (Buzz) Kearns, Jr. of Washington Court House; two sisters, Billie Jo Lewis of Liberty, IN and Wanda (Eric) Rueppel of Washington Court House and several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Friday, June 28, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House. Following cremation, burial of the cremains will be in the New Hollands Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
