Thomas J. Kelly, 74, of New Holland, Ohio died Sunday, January 7, 2024, at his home. He had been in failing health.
He was born December 24, 1949, in Pickaway County, Ohio to Joseph Glen and Florence Kathleen Armentrout Kelly. He was a 1969 graduate of Miami Trace High School and lived most of his life in Fayette County before moving to New Holland several years ago.
Before his retirement, he had worked at Cortec in Washington Court House.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas J. (T.J.) and Cherie Kelly, II of Mascoutah, IL; a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and (David) Piatt of Macon, MO; five grandchildren, Taylor Kelly, Maiah Kelly, Kayla Piatt, Zachary (Samantha) Piatt and Katie Piatt; three great grandchildren, Eli and Kameron Williams and Eleanor Piatt; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Cindy and Esty Binegar of Washington Court House and Kathy and David Johnson of Fayette County and three nephews, Kenneth Binegar, Marvin Johnson and Ethan Johnson.
To honor his wishes, cremation will take place. There will be no visitation or service.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
