JEFFERY SCOTT HUYSMAN (Updated Arrangements)

Jeffery Scott Huysman, 60, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Saturday evening, August 12, 2023, at his home.  Although he had been in failing health, his death was sudden and unexpected.

Jeff was born April 9, 1963, in Washington Court House, Ohio to Robert Harold and Maryann Theresa Youngpeter Huysman.  He was a graduate of Washington High School and was a lifelong resident of this community.

He was a welder for Horton Emergency Vehicles in Grove City for 32 years.

Jeff was member of and instructor and educator of the American Welding Society.  He was also a member of  Fayette Aerie #423 of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and enjoyed fishing, antiquing, going to flea markets and amusement parks.

He was preceded in death by his father in 2012, and his mother in 1990.

Jeff is survived by four children, Kirova Bentley of Canton, NC, Shiann (Morgan Cutlip), Emily Huysman and Braydon Huysman, all of Washington Court House; three grandchildren, Kaiven, Avelynn and Ziaya Bentley; four brothers, Dr. John (Sheryl) Huysman of Daytona Beach, FL; Greg Huysman of Greenfield, Gary (Maureen) Huysman of Charlottesville, VA and Andy Huysman of Washington Court House and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial mass will be celebrated Thursday, August 24, 2023, at 10 a.m. at the St. Colman of Cloyne Catholic Church by the Rev. Father Cyrus Haddad, pastor at the church.  Burial of the cremains will follow in the St. Colman Catholic Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
