Steven Alan Rhoades, 70, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Friday, July 6, 2018, at 11:05 a.m. at Fayette County Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient since July 4.
Steve was born August 13, 1947, in Columbus, Ohio to Pearl and Ada Marie Keller Rhoades. He was a 1965 graduate of Washington Senior High School and lived most of his his life in this community.
He formerly was owner/operator of Rhoades Plumbing and then was facilities manager for Fayette County for 15 years.
Steve a member of Washington Court House Lodge #129 of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks.
He was preceded in death by his his parents and a brother, K.O. Rhoades.
Steve is survived by his wife the former Judith Ann Ratliff whom he married May 31, 1974; a son, Heath Rhoades of Mount Sterling, OH; a brother, Bill Rhoades of Dayton and a sister, Marilyn “Skip” Antell of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
The funeral will be Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at 1 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with Danny Dodds, minister at the Greenfield Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow in Bloomingburg Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 11 a.m. until time of the service.
