Sharon Kay Barton, 75, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Saturday, July 31, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. at her home.
Sharon was born July 16, 1946, in Columbus, Ohio to Curtis Earl and Georgia Jemima Sexton Locey. She lived most of her life in this community.
She was a member of the Gregg Street Worship Center.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Eugene Barton in 1999; two grandsons, Anthony Waller and John “Auggie” Beine, Jr.; her parents and five siblings, Gloria Charlene Locey, Otis (Junior) Locey, Delbert Locey, George Lynch and Robert Locey.
She is survived by three children, Georgia Kay Dyer and her husband, Thomas, of Columbus, Deborah (Brett) Beine-Waller of Washington Court House and John Beine of St. Louis, MO; two step-children, Sarah Morris and Danny Morris; nine grandchildren, Kendra Hayslip, B.J. Beine, Charles Anderson, Brettney Waller, Abby Beine and Mary Meeks, Candy Waller, Brandi Jones and Brendell Waller; great grandchildren, Kholie, Kaitlyn, Anthony, Hailee, Joesph, Randy and Lily and also five very special great granddaughters, Debbie and Taylor Frisby, Makalah and Sophie Waller and Kierston Anderson; three great great grandchildren, Naitlee, Gunner and Railson; two brothers, Ernest Lynch, Jr. of Washington Court House and Harold Locey of Columbus, GA; two sisters, Connie Spillman of Washington Court House and Virginia Freeman of Whittaker, NC; several nieces and nephews including Phoebe and Lorretta and numerous cousins.
The funeral will be Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at 1 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with Malloy Breihaupp, Jr., minister at the Gregg Street Worship Center, officiating. Burial will follow in the Sabina Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 11 a.m. until time of the service.
