Ronald Graves Stone, 89, of Joshua, Texas, formerly of New Holland, Ohio died Sunday, February 18, 2018, at 8:41 p.m. shortly after arrival at Texas Health Huguley Hospital in Burleson, Texas.
Ron was born November 1, 1928, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Stanley and Inez Graves Stone. He lived most of his life in New Holland and Circleville before moving to Texas in 2014.
He worked in the maintenance department at DuPont in Circleville for 30 years before his retirement in 1990.
Ron was preceded in death by his wife, the former Mary Elizabeth Downing, on October 4, 2004, and an infant daughter, Selena Stone in 1961.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Trina and Chris Dawson of Crowley, TX and Gina and Wade Burns of Joshua, TX; four grandchildren, Joe (Kesha) Pine, Jerry Ward, Jr., Jimmy (Lauren) Ward and Justin Foll; three great grandchildren, Noah and Gracie Pine and Ethan Ward and a sister, Betty Taylor of Lexington, KY.
The funeral will be Monday, February 26, 2018, at 1 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in New Holland with Ron’s grandson, Pastor Joe Pine, officiating. Burial will follow in the New Holland Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home in New Holland from 11 a.m. Monday until time of the service.
