Robert Joseph Boldman, 89, of Plainfield, Indiana, formerly of Good Hope, Ohio died Monday, January 4, 2021, at 12:45 a.m. at the Westside Village Nursing Center in Indianapolis, Indiana where he had been residing since July 2020.
Bob was born February 8, 1931, in Fayette County, Ohio to John Mathies and Mary Eva Graham Boldman. He was a graduate of Bloomingburg High School and attended Wilmington College and Wittenberg University. He lived most of his life in Fayette County before moving to Indiana in 2019.
He was a retired industrial appraiser.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, the former Lillian Edith Cookenour, on February 29, 2000; by five brothers, Gerald E., Johnny, Ora J., Ted D.G. and William Boldman and two sisters, Lucille Allison and Violet Rosalie Boldman.
He is survived by a sister, Polly Stevens of Anderson, IN; a brother, Thomas Boldman of Springfield; a sister-in-law, Patty Boldman of Springfield and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 9, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. in the Washington Cemetery with Eddie Gault, associate pastor at the First Baptist Church, officiating.. Burial will be under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
