Paul Edward “Eddie” Morris, Jr., 58, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Monday afternoon, June 21, 2021, at his home. He had been ill since November.
Eddie was born May 26, 1963, in Washington Court House to Paul Edward and Sandra Leigh Smith Morris. He was a 1982 graduate of Westfall High School where he was active in the FFA. He lived most of his life in Pickaway and Fayette Counties.
He had been a maintenance worker for Washington Apartments.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Teresa Lynn Bookwalter, who died June 12, 2021.
He is survived by his wife, the former Carol Lynn Gilpen whom he married July 17, 2017; two daughters, Devan Conrad and her husband, Dustin, of Circleville and Jordan Morris of Hilliard, Ohio; five grandsons, Eythan Conrad, Xander, Xavier, Gabriel and Gaige Eaken; a sister and brother-in-law, Marsha and Allen Lackey of Chillicothe; a brother, Chris Morris of Mount Sterling and a brother-in-law, Robert “Bookie” Bookwalter of Clarksburg.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation took place.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 27, 2021, at 2 p.m. at the New Beginnings Freewill Baptist Church in Ashville, with Eddie’s brother-in-law, Allen Lackey, officiating.
