Dear Nancy and Melissa,
I just learned of Patty’s death. I’ve been out of town for a week, and just read it in the paper. I knew she wasn’t well. I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. Patty was a dear person.
Melissa, you may not even remember me. Sim Penrod was my dad; I know you remember him. My husband Paul and I were at your wedding.
I hope all of you are doing well. Please know that your family is in my thoughts and prayers during this sad time.
