Nancy Anne Sheets, 70, of New Holland, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 25, 2017, at 2:58 p.m. at the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. She had been in failing health the past year.
Nancy was born May 18, 1947, in Circleville, Ohio to Charles Daniel and Bernice Laura Cottrill Noble. In 1965 she was a member of the first class to graduate from Westfall High School. She lived most of her life in Pickaway County and New Holland.
She had formerly worked at Sugar Creek Packing Company in Washington Court House and Randall in Wilmington.
Nancy was a member of the New Holland Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, David Noble in 1992, and Marty Noble in 2006.
Nancy is survived by her husband, William B. “Butch” Sheets, Jr. whom she married April 2, 1966; three children, Dan Sheets and his wife, Vickie, Bryan Sheets and his wife, Nikki, and Becky Sheets and her friend, Bobby Briggs, all of New Holland and a grandson, David Tyndall who was reared in the Sheets home. Other grandchildren are Brittany, Marissa, Bryson and Brady Sheets and Rachael Briggs. Also surviving are six great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Ellsworth, Camry and Paxton Long, Adalynn, Layton and Natalee Briggs.
The funeral will be Thursday, August 31, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at the New Holland Church of Christ with Victor Slutz and Richard A. Matthews, former ministers at the church, officiating. Burial will follow in the New Holland Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in New Holland from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.
