MAXINE F. ELBERFELD

Maxine F. Elberfeld, 91, of Washington Court House, Ohio, died Monday, May 7, 2018, at 3:04 p.m. at Carriage Court in Washington Court House.

Maxine was born May 7, 1927, in Flat Rock, Michigan to Oscar and Ethel Webb Badgley.  She grew up in Greenfield, Ohio where she graduated from Edward Lee McClain High School.  She graduated from the Fayette County Memorial Hospital School of Practical Nursing in 1980.

She worked at the Dayton Power and Light Company and Carroll Halliday Ford before pursuing her lifelong dream of being a nurse.  After graduating from nursing school she worked at Fayette County Memorial Hospital for several years before retiring.

Maxine was a 50-year member of First Christian/Crossroads Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Carl R. Elberfeld in 2013; her parents and two sisters, Betty Denako and Margaret Bobb.

She is survived by her children, David Elberfeld and his wife, Marcia, and Karen Lowe and her husband, Gordon, all of Washington Court House; five grandchildren, Christy (Brian) Mycroft, Tim (Ellen) Elberfeld, Stacey (Eric) Lewis, Brian (Britny) Lowe, and Sarah Boehm; 13 great grandchildren; a twin sister, Geraldine Raike of Sabina and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Don and Betty Elberfeld of Springfield.

The funeral will be Saturday, May 12, 2018, at 12 p.m. (Noon) at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with Todd Maurer, minister at the Crossroads Christian Church, officiating.  Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Saturday until time of the service.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Crossroads Christian Church, 175 Halliday Drive, Washington Court House, Ohio  43160.
