Mary Ann Preston Woods, 87, of Chillicothe, Ohio died Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at 9:13 a.m. shortly after arrival at the Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. She had been in failing health.
She was born July 23, 1930, in Kingston, Ohio, to Floyd and Blanche Shoemaker Davis. She was a graduate of Beaver High School and lived most of her life in New Holland and Chillicothe.
Mrs. Woods was preceded in death by her first husband, Mitchell R. Preston in 1973; by her second husband, Glen Woods in 2003, and by 11 siblings.
She is survived by five children, Kathy Harrell and her husband, Art, of Chillicothe, Jerry Preston of New Holland, Dan Preston of Clarksburg, Jeff Preston and his wife, Brenda, of Wichita, KS and Ron Preston and his wife, Kristi, of Chillicothe; a step-son, Neil Woods; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; a brother, Steve Davis of Chillicothe; a sister, Barb Osborne of Waverly and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Friday, February 16, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in New Holland with the Rev. B.J. Dailey officiating. Burial will follow in the New Holland Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home in New Holland Thursday from 5-8 p.m.
