Mary Alice Wood Mankin, 80, of Washington C.H., Ohio died Saturday, June 2, 2018, at 8:25 p.m. at Signature HealthCARE of Fayette County where she had been a resident since April 2, 2010.
Mrs. Mankin was born February 6, 1938, in Washington C.H. to Earl and Sarah Alice Sutton Wood. Although she had formerly lived in Chillicothe and Jeffersonville, she spent most of her life in Washington C.H. where she had been a restaurant worker.
She was a member of the South Side Church of Christ.
Mrs. Mankin was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Mankin; four brothers, John, William, Richard and James Wood and six sisters, Rosabelle Gilpen, Thelma Distelhorst, Dorothy Wood, Wanda Helfrich, Barbara Anders and Shirley Yahn.
She is survived by a brother, Russell Wood, of Washington C.H.; a sister, Janet Wood of Greenfield and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington C.H. with Danny Dodds, minister at the Greenfield Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from Noon Wednesday until time of the service.
