(MARIAN) JEAN SKINNER

(Marian) Jean Skinner, 97, of North Fort Myers, FL died Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Hope Healthcare Hospice in Cape Coral, FL where she had been a patient Friday.

Jean was born November 28, 1923, in New Holland, Ohio to Kenneth Rae and Grace Mae Metzger Oesterle.  She was a 1941 graduate of New Holland High School and lived most of her life in Columbus, Pickerington and Washington Court House before moving to Florida in 2012.

She had worked at Rockwell International in Columbus for 36 years as an executive secretary before retiring in 1986, as a financial analyst.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Lee Skinner on November 8, 2005; a great granddaughter, Nicole Scott; a great great grandson, Grayson King; four brothers, Kenneth E., Maynard, Robert and Ted Oesterle and two sisters, Eileen Tatman and Marceline Wallace.

Jean is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy and Chuck King and, Sheila Priest, all of North Fort Myers; Sharon and Terry Hart of Kingston, OH, Shirley and Bill Scott of London, OH; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Leslie and Susan Oesterle of Washington Court House, David and Karen Oesterle of Galloway and  Richard and Helen Oesterle of Washington Court House and two sisters, B. Geraldine (Jerry) Durflinger of Springfield, Ohio and Judy Gordon of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Cremation will take place.

Local arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home.
