Kenneth Nicholas “Nick” Williams, 71, of Williamsport, Ohio, died Sunday, March 4, 2018, at 2:45 p.m. at his home following an extended illness.
Nick was born January 15, 1947, in Ross County, Ohio to Kenneth George and Jessie Rhoads Williams. He was a 1965 graduate of Westfall High School and lived most of his life in Pickaway County and the Williamsport community.
Before his retirement, he was a heavy equipment operator with Operating Engineers Local #18. He also was a farmer.
Nick was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
On June 7, 1968, he married the former Pamela K. Plummer. She preceded him in death on January 28, 2006. He was also preceded by his parents and four sisters, Ruth Schleich, Margaret Arnett, Clara Jo Reeser and Wanda Hettinger.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Stacey Williams of Mt. Sterling, OH; a daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Don Bowsher of Orient, OH; three grandchildren, Hunter Bowsher and Cassidy and Josie Williams; a brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Debbie Williams of Clarksburg; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and John O’Neal of Hallsville, OH, Pam and John Dignan of Vandalia, OH; a brother-in-law, Robert Reeser and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be Friday, March 9, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in New Holland with the Rev. Dan Zimmerman, chaplain for Heartland Hospice, officiating. Burial will follow in Springlawn Cemetery in Williamsport.
Friends may call at the funeral home in New Holland Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
